Breath Unlimited Event – Bubble Soccer
Stay Fit – Be safe – Have fun
With our ambassador, the Olympic champion Spyros Gianniotis, we celebrated this year the World Cystic Fibrosis Day on 8 September 2017 at the Zappeion Hall. Cystic Fibrosis patients wore their Bubbles, divided into teams and played Bubble Soccer. All patients who participated in Bubble Soccer won an annual gym membership, and 8 bicycles were also given away in a raffle.
Olympic champion and ambassador of our campaign Spyros Gianniotis attended the moving closing ceremony, where symbolic balloons were released into the sky for the Cystic Fibrosis patients we lose every year.
With Bubble Soccer we highlighted exercise as a means of treatment for Cystic Fibrosis patients, which can improve the quality and increase their life expectancy and proved that the rule of protection against cross-infection among Cystic Fibrosis patients (Be safe) is not always a deterrent to an enjoyable game (Have Fun) of exercise and keeping fit (Stay Fit)!
So the goal is unlimited breath for every Cystic Fibrosis patient!
The Breath Unlimited campaign was carried out in collaboration between the Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association and the “HUMANE” Network for the empowerment of people with disabilities and chronic diseases.
