Online Conference “Cystic Fibrosis today & new challenges for the future”

The Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association invites you to the Online Conference on “Cystic Fibrosis today & the new challenges for the future”, which is organized this Sunday 28 November at 18.00, in the framework of the European Cystic Fibrosis Week (15-21 November).

Patients with Cystic Fibrosis in our country have to face new challenges in the near future, in the rapidly changing environment of the post-covid era. At the same time, the advent of innovative therapies and the prospect of lung transplantation, which until recently were an elusive dream for Cystic Fibrosis sufferers, gives new hope to patients and their families.

The distinguished scientists who will accompany the conference are invited to answer the following questions, among others:

What is the evidence for follow-up of patients with Cystic Fibrosis in the post-COVID era?

What are the new treatments for Cystic Fibrosis and what is their impact on patients?

What are the developments in lung transplantation in our country?

Special issues concerning patients, such as physiotherapy, exercise, nutrition and psychological aspects of the disease, will be presented by specialized health professionals.

The event will conclude with speeches by representatives of the Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association, who will describe their experiences and their struggle to cope with the daily difficulties of a serious disease, as well as their efforts to improve the conditions of medical care in our country. During the event there will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
