Cooperation of the Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association with Make-A-Wish Greece

Make-A-Wish Greece supports children struggling with cystic fibrosis.

The Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association has started its cooperation with Make-A-Wish Greece. Make-A-Wish Greece grants wishes for children from 3 – 18 years old who suffer from very serious diseases and have been diagnosed in Greece. Research shows that granting the wishes of these children is an integral part of the journey to treatment, so the organization is committed to granting the wish of any child who meets the criteria, without any requirement from the family.

Cystic fibrosis is also on the list of diseases that fall under the organization’s criteria. Children suffering from cystic fibrosis and their families can turn to the organization and make their own deepest wish, which will rekindle hope and the strength to face the future with optimism and not fear.

The fulfillment of the wish becomes the child’s motivation to banish the feeling of fear and replace it with fortitude and courage. Hope springs in the child’s soul as he sees his dream come true, and becomes the emotional and physical strength he needs to fight this long battle with cystic fibrosis. Each child’s wish journey is unique and special and aims to reclaim the childhood that has been taken away from the disease. At the same time, the whole family experiences this precious experience. It is a journey that also aims to empower the parents who see their child smile again and believe in tomorrow.
