The second Hellenic Congress of the Hellenic Lung Association in collaboration with the Working Groups of the Hellenic Lung Society, which took place at the Royal Olympic Hotel on 30 March – 2 April, was successfully completed.

The opening ceremony of the Conference was attended by the President of the Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association, Mrs. Mata Tsikrika, representing the Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association, the President Mrs. Anna Spinou, the Vice President Mrs. Irini Katsini and the General Director Mrs. Maro Gounari.
During the opening ceremony, the electronic platform “Digital Pulmonologist”, a successful action for public information, was presented, while the Emeritus Professor Mr. Demosthenes Bouros and the former Director of the NHS Mr. Dimitrios Veldekis were awarded for their contribution to Pneumonology-Tuberculology. Also, in the person of our fellow patient, Mrs. Anastasia Tasoula, all Cystic Fibrosis patients who have undergone lung transplantation were awarded.

The Congress was held in a hybrid format and was accompanied by 42 round tables with 205 renowned speakers from the field of pulmonology, providing a topical interactive scientific dialogue of professional issues in the specialty of Pulmonology – Physiology.
