In Memory of Marianna – We become Organ Donors

The new year finds us with sad news, as we are deeply saddened to announce the loss of 17-year-old Marianna, a brave patient with Cystic Fibrosis. Despite her great strength and the tireless efforts of the medical team over many months, Marianna was unable to undergo a lung transplant. We express our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.

Marianna has been a source of strength and inspiration for all of us. Marianna’s memory, as well as that of all the patients we have lost over the years, remains alive in our hearts and continues to guide us in our struggle for “Breathless Breath”.

Despite the sadness, there is also encouraging news. Our other Cystic Fibrosis patients who have recently undergone lung transplantation are making positive progress in their recovery. These developments fill us with hope and reinforce our commitment to support patients and their families throughout Greece in every possible way.

The loss of Marianna reminds us of the vital importance of organ donation – an act of love and pricelessness that can give hope and a second chance at life to those who need it.

On the occasion of the New Year, we invite each of you to become an organ donor and give “Breathless Breath” and the second chance for life to more of our fellow human beings.
