1 in 2,000-2,500 children are born each year with C.I. A multisystemic disease with a low survival rate, mainly affecting the lungs and pancreas. In Greece more than 500,000 are healthy carriers of the disease, while worldwide Cystic Fibrosis affects more than 88,000 people.
