The HealthCare Business Awards ceremony was held on Friday, September 9, 2016, to highlight and reward business excellence, innovation, development initiatives and best practices of companies, institutions and organizations in the healthcare industry.
The creation of the awareness campaign “EACH BREATH- a step closer to our dreams”, was initiated by the Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association in 2012, aiming to raise public awareness of the completely unknown disease of Cystic Fibrosis in the general public.
As part of the campaign, the CF patients themselves shared publicly their stories with Cystic Fibrosis and their everyday lives with the disease for the first time. At the same time, the donation system to the Association was organized by CF souvenirs and cycling events were held in Athens and Thessaloniki on the occasion of the World Cystic Fibrosis Day, while a musical concert and information booths were organized in order to raise awareness about the disease. The CF patients themselves, as the inspirers, creators, protagonists and executors of the campaign, dared to expose themselves in public and for the first time publicly to present their personal stories and inform the public about the invisible disease of Cystic Fibrosis, the most common hereditary disease.
